I was able to add two, low numbered Herschel Walker cards to the Hoard over the Christmas Holiday.
This is a 2006, Press Pass Legends Red #NE62 card of Walker, which is serial numbered to just 8. I am now just lacking the Platinum One of One and the four Press Plates, to complete the set.
The next is one of the many parallels in the 2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks set. This is a Green Shimmer card featuring Herschel. It is limited to eight.
Pleased and thankful to be able to add these cards to the Herschel Hoard.

That's really nice to add two low numbered cards to the collection together.
A couple of questions regarding your collection since I know that the hard to find and low numbered cards are probably most of what you're looking for.
Have you identified a number of the cards, and track them to see if costs lower, or when you would have reasons to get them like Christmas or a birthday? Or is it that these cards appeared because people posted them to sell for the holiday?
Do you find that when new cards you need show up, that they come in bursts? That someone sees that a Walker sells, so they put theirs up for sale?
Hope you had a great Christmas!
Happy Holidays to you too, Angus. In answer to your question, I, would say it's more that those cards are more likely to be put up for sale around the holidays, than it is me particularly wanting to get it for a special occasion. I have the majority of Walker's cards at this point, so it's going to be shaking the bushes to get the ones I really want. I'll never get them all, there's just too many 1 of 1's or modern day parallels. As I've noted on my top ten list, the '90's parallels are the ones I really want. I admit, I recently made a big mistake when I bid on a 1997 First Day of Issue. I won the auction, then realized I already had the card and doubled up on it. It's easy to duplicate when you have a bunch of one player or team, as you undoubtedly know with your Browns collection. The cards will never be worth anywhere near what I've paid, but that's ok. I just like trying to pick them off, as I go. That's what brings me joy from the hobby. I don't even care that much about condition. I don't want real beat up cards, but they don't have to be gem mint, by any means. Glad to see you back in action after a long layoff.
Regards,
Banny
I always keep my eye out for low numbered Walker cards but don't see them.
Yeah, I've duplicated a lot of cards in my collection. I only get upset with myself when I spend something like $5 on a no-name autograph and then find out I already have it. I should have looked before buying.
Love the 06 Press Pass design. Red looks good on that one. -Bounty
