2022 Panini Illusions Elusive Ink Red #EI-HW

           

          

     I was able to nab another Herschel Walker card, in the Elusive Ink, autographed series. This is the Red parallel. It is serial numbered to 15, with this being #2. The serial number is on the left side of the card front.

Some Recent Additions to the Hoard

      Usually, I make a post about a new Herschel Walker card as soon as I get it, but I've gotten behind and thought I'd show some I've accumulated on my way to 1,000 different Walker cards.(currently 990)

     1.2022 Panini Contenders Gladiators Platinum #GLD-HWA

          

     This card is serial numbered to 10, with this example being #9. Serial # is on right card front.

          2022 Panini Mosiac-Mosiac Green Swirl #236:

          

          

          This card is serial numbered to 11. This is #6, which is shown on top left of card back.

          

          2022 Panini Mosiac-Mosiac Orange Fluorescent #236:

          

          

          This card is serial numbered to 25. This example is #17, shown on top left of card back.

          2022 Panini Mosiac-Mosiac Blue Fluorescent #236:

          

          

          As with the previous example, this card's serial number can be found on upper left of card back. However, the Blue Fluorescent's are numbered to 15, with this being #3 in the run.

     2023 Panini Legacy Violet #118:

          

          

  

          From 2023, I'll start with the Violet Parallel in the Legacy set. These are numbered to 10 and this example is # 10. It is shown on right card front.

          2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks #43:

          

          

          This is the base card for Walker in the 2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks set.

     This parallel is numbered to 199. this is 130, shown on bottom of card back in the black area.

            These "snakeskin" parallels are not serial numbered, but they are short printed.  

     More Walker cards will be coming, of course. This just give me a chance to clear out my backlog and show some cards I haven't got a chance to upload until now.

2006 Donruss Gridiron Gear Performers Red PR-14

           

          This card has eluded me for a long time. This is a 2006 Donruss Gridiron Gear Performers Red card, featuring Herschel Walker.  The Red parallel has been missing from the Hoard for a long time. There are 50 cards in the checklist, however, it is not a serial numbered set.  I now have every card in the Gridiron Gear Performers set, save for the Performers Jerseys Combos Autographs, which is a one of one. This card was featured in my "Seek of the Week" series, back in 2017.

          As always, I'm pleased to add a card I've sought for a long time, to the Herschel Hoard.

2022 Panini Absolute Ground Hoggs Materials #GH-19 Gold/Silver

           

          

          Above is the Gold parallel. These are numbered to 49. The serial number is on the front of the card, just to the right of Walker's calf.

          Next is the Silver parallel:

          

          

     Oddly, on the Silver's, they are serial numbered to 25. In most cases the Gold Parallels are lower numbered than Silver, but not here. There is also a one of one Platinum version in this set.

2018 Hero Decks Dallas Cowboys Herschel Walker Four of Hearts

           

         

          The "Hero Decks" line has been around for a long time. Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey and Collegiate Sports, among other things, are represented. These are 52 card decks, which can be used as actual playing cards.

          Herschel was represented in the Dallas Cowboys set, in three separate printings. The first in 2006, next in 2012 and 2018. His card is the 4 of Hearts in all three sets.

          The card above is the 2018 version. It is distinct from the others, because of the two black dots in the center of the card back. Nearly impossible to see with the naked eye, there is a small number 3 in each dot, indicating the third printing. At least, that's what TCDB's description says. However, there are no dots, or numbers on the second, 2012 set.

          As you would expect, Walker is also represented in the 2007 Georgia Bulldogs set. In that set, he is the Ace of Spades.
