2019 Panini Contenders Draft Picks Collegiate-Legacy Championship #18 Fran Tarkenton/Herschel Walker

I was glad to be able to obtain another 1 of 1 card of Herschel Walker, to add to the Hoard. This card is from the 2019 Panini Contenders Draft Picks Collegiate set. This set features two college legends from a particular school, in this case, Walker and Fran Tarkenton, from the University of Georgia. There are six parallels, which I will list by name and total issued. There are 20 different paired player cards in the set. A base card, of course, then, Cracked Ice, numbered to 23; Diamond, numbered to 15; Building Blocks, numbered to 10; Fame, numbered to 5 and Championship, the card featured in this post, which is a 1 of 1. The One of One designation is tough to see. It is on the card front, written vertically in script, along the center stripe. All six varieties are now in the Hoard. There is a space on the TCDB for a printing plate, but as far as the actual cards in the set, I've got all of Herschel's now.

A Couple More Additions to the "Boring", 2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks "Prizm" Line

I know many have trouble with Panini and their sets that have confusing multitudes of parallels based on slightly different color combinations. They certainly can be frustrating to collect. Not only because there are so many different ones, but for the fact that a lot of them that you'd think would be relatively easy to find, are almost impossible to track down. The 2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks "Prizm" subset is one such example.

Walker's Prizm Red Finite card is one such card. It is serial numbered to 125, which seems like it would be easy to locate, but I have been looking for a long time, with no success.

I now have 23 Herschel Walker cards from this set and am lacking eight, three of which are 1 of 1's and another is an ultra-rare, White Sparkle card. These were originally redemption only.

In any case, here are the two latest additions to this set and to the Hoard in general. First, a 2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks Prizm Silver #43:

Second is a 2023 Panini Draft Picks Gold Flash Prizm #43:

Slowly but surely, the search continues. Happy collecting.
