2012 SPx Super Scripts Autographs #SSHW

This sharp looking autographed card of Herschel, joins the Hoard.  It is a 2012 Super Scripts autograph from the SPX line of Upper Deck.

I had a chance to pick up this card about a year ago, but the deal fell through at the last minute.  I'm glad it came back around.

1997 Score Dallas Cowboys Platinum Team #13

This card could have easily made my top ten most wanted list, had I known it existed.  I saw this baby up for sale, and nabbed it quick.  TCDB collectors told me it was just another of the many insert sets that Score had for football in 1997.

In fact, I was told of yet another insert from this set called, "Premier Club".  That set, and this one, feature 15 players from each team.  Herschel is card #13 in each set.  The fronts, I believe, are all the same photo, with various background differences.

As I've mentioned, adding a card to the Hoard, especially from Herschel's playing days, which I didn't know about previously, pleases me to no end.

October 31st, 1993 Philadelphia Eagles Game Ticket featuring Herschel

I acquired this game ticket which shows Herschel when he played for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The ticket is from the October 31st, 1993 game in which the Dallas Cowboys played the Eagles at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa.

The ticket itself is  beat up, but I was pleased to get it nonetheless, as I have been looking for either a ticket, or a schedule that shows Walker with the Eagles.

As for the game itself, Dallas won 23-10.   It was pretty much the Emmitt Smith show, as he rushed for 237 yards, including a 62 yard scamper.  I was surprised that he only scored one touchdown, though, with all that yardage.

Herschel had 65 yards on 15 carries, and also had 3 receptions for 14 yards.  He caught a 3 yard TD pass from Ken O'Brien.

Herschel Hoard Card #700 2006 Press Pass Autograph

Here is the 700th different Herschel Walker card that I have obtained for the Herschel Hoard.  It took just over a year since I got #600.  That came on August 8th, 2017.

I'm very glad to add this sharp looking signed card of Herschel to my collection.  It makes a nice milestone, don't you think?

2018 Panini National Treasures Collegiate #'s 13 and 33

I decided to post these two cards together.   They are similar in that they are both from the 2018 Panini National Treasures Collegiate set, and they are both serial numbered to 99.

The difference is in  Herschel's pose on each card, and the trim difference.  Here is the #13 card, front and back:

This particular card is #12 of 99.   Next,  here is the #33 example:

This one is serial numbered 61 out of 99.  These cards also have parallel versions.  Gold, Emerald, etc, with lesser print runs.

2018 Panini Immaculate Ink #40 (update from 2015 multi-sport)

A nice autographed card of Herschel from the Immaculate Ink series.  These cards were issued in the 2018 Panini release,  but as discussed previously, they are actually part of an update series from the 2015 Multi-Sport set.  This card is serial numbered to 25, with this example being #19.

In any case, a sharp looking card, which I'm pleased to add to the Hoard.

1982 Georgia Football Pocket Schedule Sponsored by A.B. Dick

I added another pocket football schedule to the Hoard.  This one features Herschel's junior season schedule at the University of Georgia in 1982.

Duplicating Systems Inc; a branch of the A.B. Dick company sponsored the schedules.  This is the third pocket schedule to feature Herschel in my collection.  Previously I showed one when he played with Dallas and Minnesota.

2018 Panini National Treasures #108 Update

Panini continues to astound me with the mish mosh way they issue their cards. Cards with numbers not matching the checklists, different dates from the date of issue, etc.   This is a base card of Herschel from the 2018 Panini National Treasures set, an "update", I guess,  but the card is dated 2015, and is from the multi sport collection. Why not just date it 2018, and call it an update on the card itself?

I uploaded this card to Herschel's 2015 page on the TCDB, as there was a space already there with the correct card #, and serial #.   Speaking of serial numbers, this card is #70 of 99.

You may ask, if I'm so confused by Panini, why do I collect them?  The answer is, as a single player collector, you try to get as many different cards as you can.  You know you'll never get them all, but if you come across one you don't have, it becomes a target.
