Most Wanted Hoard Examples Featuring Other Players(Part Two)

Picking up from last week's post, here are #'s 6 through 10 card examples from my most wanted list.

Again, as I don't have Herschel Walker's card in any of these sets, these show other examples in the cards I'm shooting for.

6. 1996 PACIFIC SILVER

These silver parallels of the 1996 Pacific set are very tough to find. They were inserted in special retail packs. There is a blue and a red version, along with the bronze base card. It took me several years to locate the red, which were inserted 9:37 retail packs, yet the silver eludes me. Walker's card in this set is #298.

7. 1996 SUMMIT ARTIST PROOF

Curtis Martin's #13 card makes the cut as an example of what I'm looking for, but only with Herschel Walker pictured. Really, the only difference between this and the 1996 Summit card, which I have, is that the words, "Artist Proof" are printed inside the oval on the card front. Try and find one, though. Herschel is #133 in this set.

8. 1997 FLEER DECADE OF EXCELLANCE RARE TRADITIONS

These are extremely rare cards. Inserted one in every 360 hobby packs, the cards have silver foil lettering at the top and silver foil stamping on the lower left front. Also, on the back, are the words, "Rare Traditions", just beneath the player statistics. There are currently only two examples of this card on the TCDB. Marcus Allen's, shown here and Dan Marino's. It is only a 12 card set. Walker is #9.

9.1997 STADIUM CLUB ONE OF A KIND

The Stadium Club, One of a Kind, insert, is one of two 1997 Herschel Walker cards, which I have just not been able to put my hands on. He is #138 in both sets. These were inserted one in every 48 hobby packs and one in every 30 jumbo packs. The words: "One of a Kind" appear on the card front, just under the Stadium Club logo.

10. 1997 STADIUM CLUB PRO BOWL

I'll use Natrone Means as an example of what I seek as my final, top ten most wanted Herschel card. That is the 1997 Stadium Club Pro Bowl. These are what's called a partial parallel. Which is to say, not every card in the base set has one of these in the Pro Bowl series. Only even numbered cards from 2-340 come in this variety. The front has a gold "Pro Bowl" stamp in the bottom left of the card front. As in the previous, "One of a Kind" set, Walker's # is 138.

That wraps up my examples of my Most Wanted list. As always, I'll keep my eyes open and maybe I'll get lucky down the road.
